Endorsable?

Pardon me for being ignorant.

What does it mean when a ticket is non-endorsable/endorsable?

Endorsable: If you're traveling on airline XX, another airline YY can accept XX's coupons on YY. From what I know, you can just walk to the YY's counter, and they can take the coupons as payment. These are typically unrestricted normal fares, i.e. full-fare coach/business/first class.

Non-endorseable: exactly the opposite; e.g. your typical leisure fare, consolidator fares

Yes. And some airlines even accept non-endorseable tickets without them being endorsed by the issuing carrier.
