A nice old spanish city (with a lot of old-North-Africa influence). Easy to walk and shop in the old town part (but very difficult to park).
Enjoy the (slow) clay court tennis with long rallies!

Was there many, many years ago--but if it hasn't changed.........beautiful beaches just outside of Palma, and if you have a car--nice drive through the countryside, and along the Med, to the tip--at Formentor for some great views. Caution though--very narrow, winding roads over the mountains on the way.
Have a super trip.

Beautiful island, make sure you rent a car and drive around to the not-so-touristy areas and visit the little villages for some good tapas mallorquin (Spanish starters).
Avoid the entire area around Platja de Palma/El Arenal, unless you want to watch drunken and sunburnt package tourists embarassing themselves.
Palma's old town is lovely, and there are lots of great golf courses, too.

It's a beautiful island. Lived there for a couple summers in college. Mostly a Eurpoean tourist destination. Some nice roman ruins in Soller but mostly a beach type place.
