Can I do this?
Hi,
I will be travelling on a NW flight LGA-DTW-LGA in the middle of May. I have Gold Elite status on CO, thus I believe I can qualify for an upgrade on NW.
I was wondering if I can use my CO status to try and get an UG, and credit my miles to my NW WP account?.
I look forward to any suggestions.

In order to receive the upgrade in advance, you need to have your CO number in your record. What I would do is wait until you get to the gate and have your upgrade, then have them put the NW number in. Make sure that before your next flight your CO number is still on the record and then change it again at the gate.
I don't know why you wouldn't just want to have the miles credited to CO since you would receive your gold bonus on the miles and the miles are elite qualifying.

Maybe I will just keep my miles on CO!. Amazing, the first FT'er who replied is dudster...from Ann Arbor, MI..that's exactly where I am going on this tri
(btw...dudster, you would not be Matt Dudley would you? or know him?)
