I always go from KIX to Kyoto. But here is
some info.. From KIX you can take the Haruka
to Shin Osaka. From the station depending on
the traffic it is about a 12 minute cab ride
to the Westin across the "creek". Ask for a
Club floor upgrade at the Westin. Maybe
someone else can give you a local train
option and pricing. Haruka continues to
Kyoto. Total train time with only one stop on
Haruka to Osaka should be about one hour.

You could also
1) Take either Airport Express or the Rapit: both of Nankai line to Nankai Namba station and then change to Osaka subway. AIrport Express is about JPY900 and Rapit: is about JPY 1400. Subway will be another JPY200. Or you could take a taxi from Nankai Namba station.
2) Take Airport Rapid Service of JR to Osaka station. I'm not sure of the cost of this one but its probably about JPY1000.
Actually, although you have to backtrack via taxi, the method proposed by RTW above is a good compromise since it doesnt involve any change as my #1 above, and the Haruka seats are almost as comfortable as Rapit:
