Meals ?!?
I have a co-worker that I travel with quite a bit. He is my senior and is the one who has the pull with travel as to what time they book our flights. He has it in his head that he needs to go on flights that have meal service in order to save our company money. Are meal flights more expensive than a
flight around the same time just missing the meal cut off.. In my opinon ( in coach anyway) The food is crappy and I can hardly eat it. When we get to the hotel I end up getting room service or going to a local bar/grill to eat. Thank goodness I don't have to share a room ! If the flight is even 10 $ more I have a case because this guy
does not even take dinner at more then $10!
He would get a BLT or a kids meal first to save the company $$. I would rather fly at other times than have to sit around waiting for his flight with junky meal service to take off.
My question is are meal flights more expensive? If so, about how much ?
And how could I research this ?
Thanks!

Try using Travelocity.com or a similar site. You will find that fares are available in different categories/inventories/fare codes which vary based on restrictions, days-of-week, advance purchase requirements, peak vs. off-peak time-of-day, but not specifically based on the availability of a meal (in my experience).
