INAUGURAL FLIGHTS!
Are there any Inaugural Flights being planned? Seems like something to look into.
Thanks!

You still have ORD-PVG coming soon...The date escapes me at this exact moment, but I know it's soon.
I happened to be passing through ORD on Sunday when the ORD-PEK began, and although I left about 2 hours before the flight departed, there didn't seem to be too much hoopla about it...A banner over gate C16 was about it. They didn't seem to be getting ready for anything spectacular (no band was setting up, I didn't see any disco balls or smoke machines being installed either). You could be in for a big disappointment taking an inaugural.
HOWEVER, if you're looking to do one just for your own benefit (as I know many FTers do) and if it's worth it to you to say that you were on the 'first'...Then all the best to ya!
My dad did the inaugural ORD-NRT many moons ago...He just got a postcard-size certificate saying he was on the flight. That and he got to sit across from former CEO Steve Wolf--whatever that's worth.
