"It's like a sauna" at SFO this afternoon
I thought the airport was a little on the warm side when I arrived from Newark just before 4p.m. today. I just read a quote from airport spokesman Ron Wilson who said they turned off the air conditioning today due to the stage 3 alert. The UA pilot told us it was 76F when we landed at SFO, a little on the warm side (though great being home in the North Bay with the windows open tonight).

And San Francisco officially broke the previous high temperature record by one degree ...

SFO tied a 41-year-old temperature record today. Oakland and San Jose broke records (as did Moffett Federal Airfield in Mountain View).
SFO turned off air conditioning for a second day, causing it to reach 90F indoors!
Should be cooler tomorrow...
