UNDOUBTEDLY, Cathay Pacific's unbelievable Canada Appreciation offer.
If you are using AA miles, you can fly to SIN for only 35,000 miles instead of the usual 70,000. Or an upgrade from Y is just 25,000 (if I remember correctly, maybe it's 15,000!).
Also, lots of bonus miles to be had. Make sure you visit www.aa.com for more info and to sign up for bonuses. Guess what? AA.com is down again right now, so I cannot post the exact link, but you will need to go to the Specials page.
Also, CX has a terrific Visit Asia Flight Pass from CAD1399. It includes flights to HK, and free unlimited flights within Asia from 7 days up. You could fly YYZ-HK-SIN-HK-TOK-HK-BKK, for example, all for one price! Unbelivable! Please check this out at www.cathay.ca

Problem with Cathay's Visit Asia Flight Pass is that miles cannot be earned in any FF programs. Ex-LAX or ORD, United has a fare of C$1,100 and you can probably get into LAX for C$500 from YYZ. However, the length of your stay may affect this fare. The trip will earn about 22K FF miles in Aeroplan, which gives you first tier elite status: Prestige. This is what is generally available using expedia. You may be able to do better through a travel agency in the Asian community.

You might want to check SQ and MH ex-NYC (JFK or EWR) as well as UA and NW (ex-YYZ or BUF). Other possibilities ex-NYC are KE, JL, NH, CI and CX.
