I need help with routing
I am almost finished booking a trip to the South Pacific that will take me from DFW-NAN-SYD-DPS(Bali).
I need help getting from Bali back to Dallas. I am an AA Platinum member and would like to maximize my mileage and comfort on a discounted economy class ticket.
Here are my choices.
1) Fly on Gurandu airlines from DPS to Osaka then take a 777 American flight direct from Osaka.
2) Retread from DPS to SYD and take an American codeshare flight from SYD-LAX-DFW.
Would I accrue 100% vs. the normal 70% since it is a AA codeshare on Qantas?
What is the coach comfort like on a Qantas 747 vs. an AA 777?
I was thinking of Cathay Pacific as well, but it is quite a bit more expensive to route through HKG going home.

A lot of questions here. I would go for a return ticket DFW-LAX-NAN-SYD-DPS (dallas to Bali) with two stopovers advance purchase through a consolidator that gives miles.
2nd choice (assuming you already for some reason have the DFW-LAX-NAN-SYD-DPS one way portion) I would get a one way consolidator ticket with CX/AA or a SIN-DFW BA ticket.
3rd choice - a OW RTW ricket / DFW-LAX-NAN-SYD-DPS-HKG-LHR-DFW.
