Parking at SFO - Anyone Remember?

I'm flying out of SFO on Saturday and had planned to park at the short-term lot.

Then, I suddenly realized: "Duh, it's Thanksgiving Weekend" and I'm probably not going to be able to get within 3 miles of the short-term lot (and I understand that getting from the new international garages to the old international terminal - from which I'm leaving - may be tough).

I seem to recall someone sending me a promo from Thrifty (I think it was Thrifty) that due to some status I have (1K, Amex Platinum or Corp. Platinum) they guaranteed parking for holders of whatever status it is.

Does this ring any bells for anyone, or does anyone have any other tricky suggestions (I'm also afraid the Marriott may be full).

Thanks!

Greg

I don't know about the Thrifty promo, but if you're a frequent parker with SkyPark, they'll make space for you.

The good news is that the short-term lot actually has a fair amount of availability this weekend. The bad news is the reason: $25 the first day, plus $35 each additional day - your typical Wednesday out, Sunday home will cost $130. A cab would be WAY cheaper!

I was luckier - my ex flew out Thanksgiving morning, and I flew home Friday 2pm. He drove to the airport, left me a message where my car was, and parking was $59 compared to atwo taxies would have cost ~$70 from our neighborhood of San Francisco. We use this approach frequently, since we both fly so often!

p.s. Until September they had a $12/day rate with a disabled placard, but no longer.
