Hotel recommendations in Prague

I am looking for recommendations for some nice hotels in Prague. Preferrably something that I can walk to the main attractions from.

Thanks.

My personal fav is The Palace Praha (very central), try and get a 4th floor room if possible.

I've stayed in the Golden Tulip Hotel Maximilian. Very nice on a modest budget. Short walk to Old Town Square. A hoof to Wenceslas Sq and Charles Bridge. Full breakfast included. Business center with PC and internet free.

What level and price of accommodations are you looking for?

I would recommend the Hotel Meteor (part of the Best Western chain), a block from the old city gate. The rooms are small, not air conditioned, but they were clean, had great shower facilities, and the included breakfast buffet was outstanding. Friendly, English-speaking people at the front desk.

I paid $ 75 per night in the summer of 1998.

I stayed at the Renasiance Prague (Across the Street from Marriott) and was very pleased. Nice clean hotel, friendly staff and a good Breakfast Buffet. It is part of Marriott and I was able to get access to the Concierge level there. A great stay. It is right next to the Opera house and close walk to downtown Square and the Closk tower. Best of Luck!

I liked the Marriott top to bottom. The Savoy was OK but didn't have the newer amenities I like and they tried to cheat me on the rate.

An enthusiastic second for milesandpoints' recommendation of the Renaissance. You ccan walk almost anywhere, and there are a dozen places to eat within a couple of blocks. And the staff has always been great.

U Tri Postru has the best location (at the palace end of the Charles Bridge) and the neatest/most authentic decor.
