US mailing Address
I am a ff based in Toronto and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I can obtain a US mailing address. So many offers come across my desk these days that are limited to US addresses only and I would sure like to benefit by them too!
Anyone have any ideas?

Get a mailbox at a Mail Boxes, Etc. For a small fee, they will forward all of your mail to you (not sure about to Canada). If you have relatives or close friends in the US, get a PO Box (really cheap) at their local Post Office, and have them collect your mail and mail it to you every week or so.

I have a (seldom) used address with friends in NYC:
Mr. Rudi Martel
at Firstname, Name
address
which I use (rarely) for special purposes as:[*]AAA membership (AAA didn't accept me with a European address)[*]tickets (US Tennis Open, Broadway perfomances, Lincoln Center, Metropolitan Opera)
I did allow my friends to open all my mail (and throw away propaganda material). Whenever I visit them, I leave some prestamped envellopes with them - but most things (tickets, membership-cards, etc.) I just pick up when I (or Gisela) is visiting them (2-3 times / year).

I've had the same problem. So, I got a mailbox in Buffalo (Mail Boxes, Etc.) at one of the ones which has 24 hour access. I check it whenever I'm there. If I'm expecting something, I'll call them to check the box and then I can either make the (short) drive to Buffalo or ask them to forward the mail to me in Toronto. It works (at least it has for the last three years).
