Marriott or Renassiance in St. Thomas?

Has anyone been to the above hotels before? I am thinking of using Marriott points to stay at either hotel. Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Both relatively equal, IMHO, with perhaps a slight nod to the REN. If it was a special occassion and/or I could swing it, I'd sure be awfully tempted to give the Ritz Carlton out over on Great Bay a try. I've never stayed there, but I hear it's absolutely wonderful and many claim it is the best in St Thomas by far!

I am going to St. Thomas on March 1 and staying at the Renaissance. I'll post here how it was.
