Has anyone flown TWOne recently? I'm thinking of flying to LGW, CDG, HNL or maybe OGG this spring, using miles to upgrade. I haven't flown TWA internationally for years, and wonder how their premium business class compares to others, like Delta and Continental.
I fly TWA on a regular basis in F/C domestically, and generally have been pleased with the seat comfort (757s only) and service. Food can leave something to be desired. Is this the case with TWOne as well, or is it as good as advertised?
Thanks in advance.

Just got off LGW-STL--excellent flight (STL based flight attendants). Only 2 odd things--no hand lotion to be had and rather cheesy "comfort kits". Very festive appearance on the trolleys--red and white bouquets of flowers on every trolley. Nice salad display--2 dressings plus lemon wedges. Best food I've had in a long long long time--the "galley F/A" really took care to get your meat the way you wanted it (I had rack of lamb). In-seat VCR players on the 767-300. No icky "tea" on the second meal service--a nice trolley service of poached salmon, ham and warm welsh rarebit, together with a gelatin ring-mold that strangely enough was just perfect (wasn't jello but was a wine-flavored gelatin that was yummy with whipped cream). Total package was completely equivalent to any of the 2-class, 6 across on a 767 transatlantic carriers. (AC, CP with 5 across 767s or CO with 6 across DC10s have slightly better seats width-wise, but equivalent service--I was on CP on the way to Europe and have been on CO from GRU-EWR within the last 15 mos).

Having just returned from a quick weekend trip STL-LGW on TWA in coach I would recommend that TWOne is the only way to go when doing this trip. TWA should really be ashamed at the level of service in the back of the bus. No need to go into messy details, but the battleax FA's served bad food to me in my highly uncomfortable seat in a very old 767. It's been a while since I've sat in economy on TWA, so it was a shock to the system.
In terms of upgrading, the B and Y class fares from St. Louis to London on TWA are very, very reasonable (Y22 fare is only $1700 roundtrip). There are B fares available for around $800. These are easier to upgrade than the discount fares and require only 20,000 miles to upgrade. Had I realized this when I bought my ticket I would have bought a B fare and used 20k miles to sit up front.
I'm not sure why TWA's pricing their unrestricted fares at this level for St. Louis to London. Checking their fares from ORD and MCI to LGW don't reveal similar fare levels. My guess is that it's an attempt to stem some of the reductions due to Global Travel discount tickets.
