transit at LAX

Hi,

Would 1 hour 5 minutes be enough time to transfer from a domestic DL flight to a UA international?

I don't know much of what is happening between DL & UA other than reciprocal ff miles. Would I have any problems checking in luggage at JFK to my final destination?

thanks

Assuming your bags get checked through to United (they should have interline agreements), and the flight runs pretty much ontime, you will have little problem connecting. The walk from Delta's terminal to United is ten to fifteen minutes, depending on which terminal your UA flight is departing from. Delta is in Terminal 5, and United's international flights depart from 6 and 7.

As I recall the official minimum connecting time at LAX can be up to 2 hours, depending on airline, terminals, and if flights are international or domestic. The reservations agents for either airline should be able to give you the information.

As Craig said, it's only a 15 minute walk. The key is to get Delta to issue the United boarding pass. That way if your first flight is delayed, your seat and possibly the plane will be held for you.

I recommend carrying on your luggage just to be safe.

Thanks all for the tips.

Stimpy: I'll be returning from studying overseas for a year. I don't plan on using only carry-on or taking on board all my suitcases.
