Very nice surprise in Fed Ex pkg II....
Like Beckles, I also received a Fed Ex package in the mail that I wasn't expecting!!
Congratulations on being selected as a winner in the Southwest Airlines, "Play Ball with Nolan Ryan" sweepstakes !!!!!
Fly to LA, visit Disneyland, opportunity to play in a softball game with Nolan Ryan, recent Major League Baseball Hall of Famer at Edison Field and afterwards, attend a lunch with him! Wow!

Congratulations sggolg! What a cool thing. Nolan Ryan is one of the only professional baseball players whose carrier I've actually followed. I did get to meet him once at a gala in Dallas. I'm sure he remembers me, just drop my name and he'll sign a baseball for you. Disneyland, here you come! Ride that Peter Pan ride. I always have to ride that thing. It brings back some great memories. The tea cups don't. I got sick. Alright, I'm just waiting for my Fed Ex package. It should be here any day. "Congratulations, you're the proud owner of a brand new 777! Michelle Pfieffer is your co-pilot! Here's your keys!! Go get 'em tiger!"

Online contests are great! I won a 3Com Palm Pilot III back in January.

I THINK THE ONLY THING I'VE EVER ONE ON-LINE WAS RANDY'S FIRST CONTEST TO LAUNCH FLYERTALK. (REMEMBER RANDY... THE TRIVIA QUESTION OF THE DAY!) I think my winning question was how many miles for a business ticket from Dublin to the states on Air Lingus! I think I won 1000 Click Rewards!
Other than that... NOTHING!
Congratulations SGGOLF! I'm sure you and your husband will really enjoy that trip! You both deserve it! And PLEASE send us a picture or two to NJDavid's FlyerTalk gallery. Maybe get Nolan to hold up one of those Flyertalk luggage tags!
I have not been to a Disney party going on 28 years. Someday I will tell you all the story (off-line) of what happened on Main Street at Disneyworld!
Although I'm so bad they took down Eastern Airlines "If You had WINGS!" That was my favorite ride and I think I went thorugh it 75 times!
Space Mountain was awesome and that's another story I'll share someday off-line!
Nolan is awesome not because of whatever he did as a pitcher but because he was a regular guy who was just doing a job and trying to bring some pride to Texas. He was just another husband, father, son who did what most of us guys (and soem women I know) can only dream about doing.
He should be our official F-T Sports Hero!
(along with several fo the female tennis players and the entire U-S Women's world champion soccer team!)
Scott: I am so touched by what you said! I never pictured myself as anyone's hero.
And as for you wanderlust: If you don't get the package that's because I'm flying over your house with the lovely Michelle and I sharing PEPSIs at 40 thousand feet! ME-WOW! WOW! WOW!
