There are several websites with Airtran jokes. However, we should give them a chance. I think they did not change only the name, they also changed the management.
Some resent articles are somewhat positiv on Airtran.

Someone mentioned above that sale fares are
hard to find with AirTran online:

> and sale fares are difficult to find on
> their web site.

May I suggest you use the following search engine which allows you to search across multiple date combinations in one go to find the cheapest time to travel:

good luck

No need to pity me. I arrive for flights now 2 hours in advance, I'll call right before I leave to verify the flight time, and enjoy the only non-stop flight from LGA to PHF. Unlike most FTers, I despise changing planes; the idea of running for connections and dealing with abusive gate agents absolutely repulses me. Sometimes I have no choice, but if I do, I go non-stop. This was why I chose CO for elite status. But for quickie trips to weddings, I saw the price of Airtran and nearly fainted. When I heard it was non-stop, well, that was merely icing on the cake.

There was a small airline called AirTran befroe the ValuJet Everglades crash. After the crash, ValuJet mgt. decided on a 'merger'
with AirTran, but what they really wanted was the AT name. The combined airline was probably 80% VJ + 20% AT.
I avoided AT for a while until I needed a cheap OW MDW-PIT in Feb. 2002. I was very pleased with the service. Congrats to Joe Leonard & Co.

To Analise,
I'm glad it's working out for you. I hope it continues to do so. As for me, we got burned real bad. We won't be going near the fire ever again! Hopefully, we all learn from our lessons. We learned our lesson the hard way. Hopefully, Airtran won't take off 3 hours early and leave you in the airport. And hopefully there will be someone there to answer your phone call when you call ahead. Good Luck to you and happy traveling! Pomcoach
