SHV hotels
I've flown to SHV before, but only to drive to Longview, TX immediately (GGG is served by American Eagle only, and I like DL mainline much better).
I'm going to be spending two nights @ SHV (Longview during the day), and I'm wondering if anyone has hotel recommendations.
Close to the airport would be great if there's anything nearby (something like Burger King or a mall is fine). If not, what's a good 3* hotel with an airport shuttle?
Thanks!

How about the Holiday Inn downtown? It's $70 a night.
I don't gamble, but I do like inside corridors, and that's the only one I found.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn "I-20 Downtown" last November for one night and was quite disappointed with my room (the place is in desperate need of renovation) but the staff were wonderful - very polite, kind and helpful. A friend, whose organ concert I had come to hear, was put up at the Best Western Chateau Suite hotel on the opposite corner from the Holiday Inn and it was a much nicer property. I did not see his room but he told me he was very pleased with the accommodations and the service.
