Ever Received a Memorable Souvenir from a Hotel?

So recently I found out that Conrads have these little plush bears and ducks that are custom to each hotel, and some people have some quite extensive collections of these plushies

Wondering if any other hotels do the same with little souvenirs you can bring back? I'm thinking something other than hotel key cards (that some people like to pilfer) or little snacks that are offered as welcome gifts.

Hi,

Some hotels used to have slippers with the hotel name embroidered on them ( ie Conrad Dubai) but post covid some are going just to plain slippers

The guest pens in guest rooms sometimes are personalised

Regards

Back in 2007 I was given a set of his and hers chopsticks by the ANA IHG in Roppongi which we are still using today.

There are the paper prayer rugs you get in some hotels in Moslem countries. I have several of those. I don't know why I am hanging onto them, but there they are......

I got a hotel branded stein from the Aloft by the Munich train station when I stayed during Oktoberfest a few years back. That's probably the most memorable gift I've received from a hotel.

I'm pretty sure I could have gotten some meth and companionship at the Holiday Inn by the Atlanta airport, but they would have been add-on charges and I wouldn't have earned bonus IHG points on the spend.

The Conrad plushies are the main hotel souvenir I've kept over the years.

I was around 10 and don't even remember where we were but when I went to unlock the door to the room the key snapped off in the lock (thankfully after the door unlocked). Since they were going to have to change the lock the maintenance guy let me keep the busted key after he removed it.

  • Bags of varied quality with hotel name - have been given some nice beach bags.
  • Luggage tags.
  • t-shirts

I'd actually love something like this. A durable book that guests would want to keep... The local travel mags with ads and promotions are helpful at times, but not really worthy of a spot on my bookshelf after the trip.

A branded coffee mug from the Grand Hotel Sofia from a trip in 2011. Still use it to this day.

LXR Crockfords Las Vegas was giving out a metal key with leather fob (that held the rfid chip for opening the door) for guests staying soon after opening in summer 2021.

You'd need a Bilt card for that. It's a rental, after all.
