Personally I want PMs to come from the best educated people in the UK, if Eton, Harrow, Winchester, and Oxbridge educated candidates rather than some local comprehensive and an old school Polytechnic, then I don’t think that’s unreasonable -as I said I value ability and competence, I do not care for quotas, which are generally a salve who think that a protected characteristic trumps ability - try that is a safety culture and watch people die. Anyhow, having met and worked with Kings Messengers (actually most were Queen’s Messengers) over many years, it is clear you do not really understand the issue, their background or diversity or otherwise and just wanted to spout your criticisms of UK society, safe in the knowledge that you are an “outsider” with an agenda - I fail to see why Brexit has got anything to say on the matter of KMs. Anyway, I’m bored with this silly to and fro. you are of course right in everything you say and assert, it’s all the fault of stale, pale, male members of the public school boys who run the UK. yawn i see you couldn’t point out where I went on attack so just went on the attack yourself. your idea of a great PM is giving you a hell of a lot of good food banks. One of the only growth industries. Brexit was about many Brit’s thinking they could get on top of migration only to end up with far more migrants than ever before. As an outsider that’s kinda how it looks |
Over 30 years ago, I used to regularly come into contact with the Queen’s Messengers, as they were then. Lovely bunch of people. I was part of a team which was a contact point for them before they got on their flight out of LHR. They would always stop for a chat, always cheerful and friendly. Much, much less old boys’ club, and much, much more salt of the earth people, male and female.

The King should just send an email like everyone else. :)

To the OP’s question, no I have never seen one of said messengers. |

As an outsider that’s kinda how it looks You have no idea what my idea of a good PM, but characterise it in your own frame, one which makes you feel good, but fails to actually address the point that a well educated PM drawn from the best educated rather than from mediocre establishments might be preferable. And the old, hackneyed argument about Brexit (what that has to do with KMs or diversity is beyond me) that is was only about immigration - it may well look like that to you as an outsider but from your own words you seem to know little and look with only a cursory glance - the failure to understand (or research) where KMs come from, the lack of knowledge about the Birkenhead Drill and its historic importance etc, make it easy to dismiss your ignorant and biased views as irrelevant trolling. Trolling and race baiting that I have spent far too much time being, even remotely, amused by..You are the weakest link, Goodbye. |
