Recession coming should I wait to travel

Everyone knows that the recession is coming. Does anyone think prices of hotels and flights will go down in late 2022 or early 2023? I instead of traveling now, will I get better deals if I wait? Some flights I see right now are pretty expensive.

Of course. Do what you need to do.

Travel now, travel later. If Covid has taught me anything its that anything can happen so travel when you can and in a budget you can live with.

Everyone? You are considering speculating on the prices of air travel and hotels. What about FX? What about domestic inflation (wherever your domestic happens to be)? What might be the effect of a 30% drop in asset values on your level of wealth?

Oh, and what about MONKEYPOX?

This intertemporal speculation stuff is complicated.

Recession coming. Will airlines reduce capacity to meet demand and keep fares high?

You've had 4 respondents, one of whom posted gibberish and one of whom repeated your question.

Let me make it a majority (for now) and say travel if you can now.
