Those new EK & SQ First Class Suites are really nice, but...
India's Majarajas Express Presidential Suite
South Africa's Blue Train Deluxe Bedroom
Orient Express Istanbul Suite
they still have a ways to go before they begin to approach the best in train accommodations...
(By airplane standards however, I'm seriously impressed!)

Continental's Oceania Lounge
In terms of overall square footage, yes. However, all widebodied aircraft are substantially wider than than any rail carriage.
While the airlines didn't always offer the most plush personal accommodations aboard their widebodies, some of their lounges back in the day were quite posh indeed!

I remember my grandmother complaining about my dad's sideburns back in the early 70s, and his were no longer than his ear lobes, if that. These days it seems the only people who wear their sideburns long are over the road truckers. Funny though - these days beards are popular whereas back in the 70s they were fashionable only on older people (in which case you looked distinguished) and hippies (you were probably a radical of some type).

Emirates new 777 First Class Suite
In all fairness, let's post pictures of Emirates and Singapore's new suites respectively.

there are not really charter trains, but there are many charter planes (with bedrooms) which can also avoid commercial airports/terminals
trains, including when double bed, can be expensive per night, over many nights
if trains there are yachts and cruiselines - "Regent Suite" and NCL's "Garden Villa"
as well as luxury motorcoaches with rentals similarly be very expensive per night
