using paypal to pay for tickets

do you lose travel insurance coverage from a visa platinum card if airfares are paid by your paypal (who then charges it to the said visa platinum card)?

does having paypal as a go between effectively make the transaction technically no longer charged to the visa platinum?

I believe the answer is yes. As far as the CC is concerned Paypal is the customer.

Also, why would you add another layer to the transaction??

i avoid paypal as much as possible, there are just some rare instances that direct cc payments do not work. will avoid it even more now since i am giving up.coverage by using them.
