I am planning to fly (with chinese airline) from Paris to Jakarta (first from paris to guangzhou, china and from there to jakarta). I want to know if i need any visas or additional documents for my trip in addition to my passport. I have the Dutch passport.

There's this new thing called Google

BTW: It's difficult to say what you need as visa requirement depend on duration of stay, purpose of visit, prior criminal record, etc...

The last thing I'd do if I were you is stake my travel plans on visa requirements as understood on a social media platform.
Check with the embassies.

The Indonesian Embassy in the Netherlands, which (as rickg523 posted) is one of the few sources of information you can trust to answer this question correctly, says in #41 on this page that you can apply for a 30-day visa on arrival and extend it once. You need a passport that is valid for at least six months after your arrival and a through or return ticket. The visa will cost USD35.

As for China, it depends on how long you plan to stay.

IATA gathers all of this information in a single database called TIMATIC. It is available to passengers without cost through several channels. One of them below. You will need to accurately complete all of the data fields and the visa and any other documentation requirements for your proposed journey will be displayed.

As others note, there is not "general" or "usual" answer to these questions. TIMATIC also has the advantage of being the database which the air carriers which you use will review before allowing you to board your flights.

The stopover in chinese airport will be for a few hours.

Indonesia VOA

Most western countries are allowed a single free 30 day visa for Indonesia for leisure travel. This can not be extended, so if you do need to extend, pay the $35.

Online, I see that Holland get the free VOA.

In some cases, the embassy's website is wrong, or has incomplete info, as in this case.

So is the visa on arrival (after immediately arriving at the airport) free or you must pay 35$ for it?

The embassy should have the correct information....

It's both.

You can get the free version, or pay $35. The only reason to pay $35 is if you were going to extend the visa beyond 30 days.

You can also extend the free version i guess but just 1 time. The 35$ visa can be extended two times (making it a total of 90 days stay).

Correct me if i am wrong.

Just one visa on arrival (free). Within 30 days you must leave the country.

The 35$ Visa you apply for can be extended just 1 time, maximum stay of 60 days in the country.

Right?

30 days free visa for tourism only.
I think it would be wise to have printed hotel reservation proof during the visit. enjoy Indonesia!
