Freakonomics: Ask the Pilot request

Hey folks. While on my weekly travels, one of the podcasts I listen to is Freakonomics. At the end of this past week's show, they put out a request for what's essentially an "Ask the Pilot:"

Hey podcast listeners, we need your help for an upcoming episode about airline travel. We have got on standby a pilot for a major airline, who’s willing to answer any question — or even field any complaint — that you have about flying. So we want you to record your question or complaint. Just use the voice-memo app on your phone and send the file to [email protected]. Make sure you say your name, what you do, where you live, and then tell us what you want to know from the pilot. Please be brief, be specific — and don’t be too mean. Thanks.
I can't think of a better place to post this than FT.

Perhaps, though the UA forum is unlikely the correct place in FT for it. I've asked the moderators to move it to a more appropriate forum.

I'll buy that. I looked, but wasn't really sure where else to post it. I'm mostly a UA flyer, so this is the forum I frequent most. I don't mind having it moved to the correct location, and perhaps expanding my knowledge of FT in the process. Thanks!

Good points all as to relocation of the thread. I'll move it to TravelBuzz for more discussion. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator, United.

Patrick Smith has covered almost everything there is to say from the flight ops side.

I'd say it would be a better podcast if they had questions for an airline fare analyst or yield management specialist.

Agreed. I've actually seen a lot of airline operational topics covered, often by the airlines' own magazines. Yield management is still a mystery to most...would love to hear inside stories on how that works.

Probably have to come from someone long out of the industry, as I'm sure current employees aren't going to say much and/or are covered by an NDA.
