Junk website hunt

This FT website is cool, but when I look at the forum my browser cycles through dozens of junky websites. One page can take 5 minutes to load,
like things were back in 1996, slow as molasses.

Let's see how many we can track down.
ds.sys-server.com is my contribution. I bet we can find 25.

Run a virus check on your machine. I access FT from 3 different machines on 3 different OS and the forum loads in seconds.

Second the malware check idea.

Without blocking a lot of the junk it loads a lot slower but nothing like 5 minutes even when I'm accessing it from China with no blocking at all.

Some ads can take quite a while to load, though nothing like minutes. An ad blocking program will keep those out. Some will keep those out while letting more benign ads, which after all pay for this free service, through.

You might want to post this on the Tech Support forum.
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/support-services-385/

Others have had problems with ads that cause their browsers to hang, resulting in problems getting FT pages to load.

Based on what you're describing, it sounds absolutely like you have malware on your machine...signs don't point to the problem being FT, but that's just my two cents.

This is NOT a travel-related topic, thus it really doesn't belong within any forum on FlyerTalk. Please use the Tech Support forum above should you have issues with the actual website itself.

Thanks for your understanding. /Moderator
