I accidentally forgot a 50lb piece of luggage from a recent trade show at the Hyatt I was staying at. I called the hotel from the airport when I realized my mistake.
The CSR told me that they work with a company called ileftmystuff.com that will deliver my luggage to me for a fee, and that I will receive an email with more information. When I received the email, I went to the webpage for my item and entered in all of my information, including billing information, and was shocked to see that UPS Ground will only be $18. For a 50-lb piece of luggage?
Indeed, three days later, I have been reunited with my wayward luggage. Was this a mistake? How does this company make money?
Have you had any experiences with ileftmystuff.com?

no, but it would have been nice.
i left a pair of earphones in a top rated hotel in madrid. contacted the hotel after i had checked out, but was still in the city.
they promised to check on it and to call me back. which of course they didnt. when i reached them again, they said they hadnt found it.
of course, when i called to triple-check, 2 days later, they had found it, and would mail it to me....for a $200 fee. the same earphones that literally fit in a standard mailing envelope with 50c postage. luckily i had a local colleague who could retrieve it in person...but wasnt a nice experience

I'm not plugging anything. I was actually bewildered how the company is making money when I was only charged $18 to have a 50-lb piece of luggage delivered to me.
Well, I think I have my answer. The luggage came back to me, with zip ties in the locks (nice touch!), and on the UPS delivery form it says: "Weight: 1 lb."
So, it looks like someone made a big (and costly) mistake when they processed my luggage...
