Leaving Airside during layover - precheck when returning

Hello all...

I have TSA precheck, and am batting nearly 1.000 in having it appear on my boarding pass since I've signed up.

I have a 4 hour layover in Atlanta this Sunday, and my parents are planning on driving down to ATL and we are going to have dinner. As is custom, TSA PRECHK will be printed on both my boarding passes (CAE-ATL, and then ATL-DCA).

Based on anyone's experience, will I have any issues using the precheck line (will i get the 3 beeps) in Atlanta when I return airside?

I have of course gone to and from ATL many times, and had no problem using pre-check there, but that's when ATL is the airport I'm departing from...not as a layover.

TL; DR: Will my precheck be valid in ATL on Sunday when I return airside after leaving during a lengthy connection?

So long as PC is printed on your BP, you should be just fine.

As long as precheck is printed on your bp, you should have no problems re-entering via the pre-check line using your ATL-DCA bp as I do this all the time if I have a long enough layover where I can step outside for a smoke where I use my bp for my next flight to clear security as it's no difference if my "smoke" airport is my originating flight or a conx
