I also geocache occasionally while traveling. Same handle as here. It's a good way to pass what might otherwise be unproductive or lazy time; after dinner, for example.
I'm not obsessive about doing it, but I certainly want to log a geocache in any new U.S. state or country that I'm visiting.

I recall finding one cache inside of airport security. It was "Butterfly Garden @ Changi Airport T3 Transit" in Singapore. So not impossible, I would be curious to know if there are more. I've also found the virtual inside O'Hare.
I tried "hiding" an earthcache at SeaTac but coudn't get the airport property manager to call me back to ask for permission. It would have been a good one. It would involve the granite art in the baggage claim area so would be accessible without a ticket but could also be done on a short layover. Oh well. If any FTers are in the "know" in Seattle maybe they could help.
