Changing date of roundtrip ticket ?

At a minimum, the OP would want to take a look at that particular market and get an understanding of how far in advance you typically need to buy a one-way ticket to get fares in that range. Fares ex-HKG are usually pretty reasonable both far out and close in. And, it's easy to find tickets with minimal (or zero) change fees.

I'd really appreciate it if you'd mention some airline names here. Especially anything in the SkyTeam alliance. And probably others would also. US airline change fees tend to be brutal.

I already mentioned the travel agent we use for tickets like these: Wing On Travel. They seem to be airline agnostic as far as I can tell.

Naturally, travel must commence in Hong Kong.
