Same Seat Assignment on Consecutive Segments

Good day one and all,

I thought it would be interesting to share my ability on two separate reservations that I have on hold to mention that in each reservation for all 8 segments I've been able to get the same seat number allocation for all flights. there's a mix of Aircraft involved too: E75, MD80, 737, 757.

So what's your record of consecutive flights with the same seat assignment?

Four, I think. All MD-88s on one itin. Usually don't book far enough out to have it work out, though I do try.

More than looking for the same seat number on different metal is trying to get the same seat on different type. E.g. every time I fly an A319, I try to get 9-C, but on the A320 I want 11-C, etc. Also for some reason I always try to sit on the left side of the a/c if I can...nothing superstitious, just habit.

A few years ago, I'm sure I went months in my favorite 20D on my weekly AA MD80 run to and from DFW - I never kept track of the count, but I'd book well ahead and exit seats must have been reserved for elite status, as it was always available.
