Delta Changes Skymiles Program

http://takingoff.delta.com/post/7789.../skymiles-2015

Delta Airlines is making a major change to its Skymiles program beginning in January, 2015.

Instead of earning miles simply based on miles flown, passengers will now earn depending on how much they spend on their ticket. Good for corporate frequent fliers, bad for everyone else.

It will be easier to redeem miles, so they claim, with no blackout dates, more award ticket availability and one way tickets.

Of course the reality will be seen starting in January.

You can read about it here.

Closing this thread as there is plenty of discussion on the Skymiles changes in the Delta Forum.
