Playlist for flight?

With the change in BA rules regarding the use of portable electronic goods and headphones. Flipping thru the music on my phone I was wondering if a specific playlist is required for various parts of the journey? Well it is Sunday after all !

For example:

During boarding. Wonderstuff, Welcome to the cheap seats *

Safety demo. Men without hats, Safety dance **

Taxi. Scouting for girls, The airplane song

Take off. Cozy Powell, Theme One

Initial climb. Steppenwolf, magic carpet ride

Breaking thru the cloud layer. Hothouse flowers, I can see clearly now

Turbulence. Jake Bugg, Lightning bolt. House of pain, Jump around

Arrival at Manchester airport. Supertramp, Its raining again

Thoughts and suggestions?

** But pay attention to the briefing!

Yes, quite right. I really do like that tune actually, along with Jake Bugg and Hothouse Flowers. Scouting for Girls only number 1 hit, "This Ain't a Love Song" had a very Flyertalk video filmed at London City Airport, showing various people anxiously waiting for their loved ones to appear in Arrivals, complete with a DYKWIA in it (57 seconds in). Full marks for diversity too, but did you know you can fly to Tokyo from LCY? (1'08").

I am more annoyed that you stole my thread, I was trying to get myself organised to put up something similar!

Interesting, when the plane takes off I would have Kenny Loggins Danger Zone, then if I sit (most likely) in WT Destiny Childs Survivor, then when I disembark Beethoven's 5th

Depending on which aircraft you are flying you might like to listen to "747" (a song by the Swedish band Kent).

I quite like to start a journey with Take That's "The Flood". Some of the lyrics are quite appropriate -

Then we forgave them.

We will meet you where the lights are,
The defenders, of the faith we are.
Where the thunder turns around theyll run so hard well tear the ground away take-off.

You know no one dies, in these love drowned eyes,
Through our love drowned eyes, well watch you sleep tonight cabin crew, who have seen it all before, in CW.

Although no one understood we were holding back the flood,
Learning how to dance the rain how to secure a UUA.
We were holding back the flood they said wed never dance again i.e. never fly economy again.

Bleeding, but none of us leaving,
Watch your mouth son or youll find yourself floating home.
Here we come now on a dark star, seeing demons, not what we are.
Tiny minds and eager hands will try to strike but now will end today.

Theres progress now where there once was none, where there once was none, then everything came along positive vibrations for the journey ahead
Although no one understood, we were holding back the flood learning how to dance the rain.
There was more of them than us now theyll never dance again.

Now well never dance again.

OT. Playlist for flight?

A few more suggestions:

When the board says gate A10: Only losers take the bus, Fatima Mansions

When you are stuck in a middle seat with large seat mates: Size of a cow, The Wonderstuff

During flight: in the air tonight, Phil Collins

During taxi: take me home, Phil Collins again

Not strictly for flight ......

Trying to spend avios:
Reward, teardrop explodes
I still haven't found what I'm looking for, U2
All I need is a miracle, mike and the mechanics

And finally, for flyer talk addicts : my favourite waste of time, Owen Paul

Surely any arrival back into MAN requires the playing of the song. It's grim up north.
