Burger King accepts payment in dollars (at least in some countries) but hands out change in local currency.

I'd like to think they have hours and hours of footage of people correctly answering every question that they had to discard for this bit, but sadly I know that's likely not the case.

Even so. Every nation has its fair share of those people. I wouldn't bet on it, that every Brit or German knows the capitals of small African nations or the currency of foreign nations.

In Australia they're branded Hungry Jack, except we spotted one in the Cairns Airport branded Burger King.

Do you know why it's called Hungry Jack's?

From Wikipedia

When Burger King moved to expand its operations into Australia, it found that its business name was already trademarked by a takeaway food shop in Adelaide. As a result, Burger King provided the Australian franchisee, Jack Cowin, with a list of possible alternative names derived from pre-existing trademarks already registered by Burger King and its then corporate parent Pillsbury that could be used to name the Australian restaurants. Cowin selected the "Hungry Jack" brand name, one of Pillsbury's U.S. pancake mixture products, and slightly changed the name to a possessive form by adding an apostrophe and "s" to form the new name "Hungry Jack's"...

Fairly well documented. When BK entered the market (via a local investor) The name "Burger King" was in use by a restaurant in Adelaide. They chose Hungry Jack's, since the investor was "Jack". It looks like at some point BK also entered the market and there were some Burger King branded outlets, by this point the trade mark on BK had expired. It sounds like they've since been re-branded Hungry Jack's - I saw the Cairns BK several years ago.

I just read that a poster on Trip Advisor thought a hotel would be better if it had a free photo booth. Stupid people just amaze me.

Retro cool?

Who would even think that a hotel stay would be better if there was a photo booth in the lobby?

People have the weirdest opinions...

Very entertaining to read yelp and trip advisor all the obscure reviews.

It bugs me how some Americans think.

We undoubtedly have you beat on these instances due to sheer population, but I've read and witnessed these same things about Australians in Bali. Actual arguments about paying in Australian currency. Every country has it's embarrassments, it's just our pot to pick from with conditions to travel the world is a lot more than yours.

I think the presence of a photo booth in the lobby would be one reason for me to NOT book there. Not a typical sign of a high-class establishment.

"9AM is a bit too early to assume the room is empty and ready for cleaning. I appreciate the service promptness, but we had to put up our Do Not Disturb sign to spare ourselves."

Lol, What do they think that DND sign is for, and was it really a chore to put it out?

Funniest review I read was for a Best Western Hotel. The reviewer said he thought he had booked the Four Season, did not get his turndown service,no bathrobes and room was below abysmal standards. The reviewer went on to say that the pool was not heated enough and the spa jets were weaker than the coffee.

The hotel responded by saying" I am sorry that we have disappointed you but as a Three Diamond AAA Hotel we pride ourselves in offering a quality, clean and friendly hotel. We are sorry about the pool and spa however we informed every guest about the issues with the pool and spa. I had wished you had approached us earlier in your stay and we would have fixed your issues to your standards.
