Need to do something with my baggage!

Wondering if anyone has a solution to my problem. I'm staying in Lakewood, CO until Friday. I have a 8:55pm flight from Denver. Lakewood is a good 30 miles from Denver. I'd like to sightsee around Denver during my last day, so my original plan was to drop off my heavy baggage at Denver airport during the morning, then roam around Denver during the day, but I can't do that since you can only checkin your baggage for Southwest airlines no earlier than 4 hours before your departure. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do with my baggage? Thanks

Denver Airport has a baggage storage facility located in the Jeppesen Terminal on Level 5. For information, contact the Airport Baggage Center at 303-342-5858. There are no rental lockers available at the airport.

How are you planning on getting to the airport and downtown? Lakewood really isn't that far from downtown - I am not sure which hotel you are in, but there is light rail that connects right from the Federal Center. You might have better luck getting the hotel to hold your luggage for you.
