How does this work??
Hi. I saw the new story this morning that featured this site. Some lady was checking into like 6 hotels for the same night just to get miles. How is it worth it if she has to buy hotel stays? What am I missing?

Depends how much those hotel stays set her back. If it was a very cheap night in a rather crappy hotel that earned her lots of miles then I see nothin wrong with checking in and not actually staying there.

Sometimes promotions come around that are just THAT good.
Last year Radisson had something called the Big Night Giveaway. At one point during the promotion I flew me and my S.O. to Minnesota- we stayed at the Park Plaza for 6 nights- paid for 12... ;-)
All the points were converted to airline miles and were used for two roundtrip flights to Europe for New Years (oh and we used those points for our New Years Eve night to be spent in a $1k+ hotel room RIGHT IN FRONT of the Eiffel Tower... Really only cost me $50- fifty dollars)
.......
and two roundtrip flights to Hawaii 6 months later (just got back a few weeks ago actually!)
I'll stop bragging.
