Pet Peeves, c/o Yourself
Whenever I'm searching for a plane ticket, and there's an option to choose seats in advance, aisle seats are the second most important issue for me. First, it's the cost. Miles, IFE, time of departure/arrival, and origin of carrier for whatever reason play lesser filddles. If I know that, through the seat selection screen, an aisle seat is available, that's when I start comparing everything else.
It's aggravating because, even if no aisle shows up on the screen, it doesn't mean that they are all taken. Also, if it's a last-minute ticket, you may not be able to get that advance seat selection anyway. Nevertheless, contrary to FT-logic (I suppose), for me aisle seats trump most. Then again, depending on the length/time of flight/configuration of the plane, even a window is ok- I never would've gotten a good shot of Mt. Fuji and Mt. Etna if it wasn't for my cavalier approach to seat assignments...
What idiosyncrasies of yours get in your way the most, visvis travel planning?
