way back when, 5 days, 3 self imposed for vouchers, food, & hotel...

For mechanicals that finally went, maybe 10 hours at Dubai. For strikes and weather, maybe a couple of days. During one days long weather delay this winter I finally gave up and took a train home.

25 hour delay for a big wet windstorm, trying to travel AMS-SEA.

24 hrs at VKO flying to ROV. Only information at VKO was ("WEATHER") which turned out to be fog at ROV

50 Hours
7 Hours on the plane in Gander NF (Canada) due to a diversion because of a mechnical issue on the plane, then 4 hours at the airport then 16 hours at a motel in Gander, then another four hours sitting on the plane waiting to take off. So 32 hours.
My boss almost fired me because she did not believe my story that they delay would last that long.
It was with TWA in 1993.

Mine was 7 hours, and I had to stay at the transition city for overnight because of the delay...
