Connection time at MSP

Connection time at MSP
On February 26 we are flying GRB-MSP-LAX-KOA on Delta. The flight from GRB to MSP arrives at Gate A2 arrives at 10:38 and the MSP-LAX leaves from Gate G 20 at 11:20. Looking at a map of MSP the gates seem fairly close to each other. Given that carry on luggage will be gate checked at GRB and we will have to wait for it at MSP, how close will we be to missing the flight to LAX?
