Family stranded at Salt Lake City airport for days finally gets to go home thanks to Good Samaritan
The Saxtons were planning to return to Virginia using standby tickets, but flight after flight was full.

My brother in law works with a lot of pilots who would give him buddy passes.
After one or two experiences sitting around airports for multiple hours or even days, my sister refuses to attempt to fly using them.
If you need or want to be somewhere at even an approximate time, you may not want to use buddy passes.

JB employees do not get unlimited passes. Be careful about asking for too many, you might find yourself cut off. A benefit of non-revving on JB is that they don't oversell their flights, so you tend to stand a decent chance of getting on.
