Checking luggage at flight connections, is it possible?
Hi!
I have a big concern for my upcoming flight that maybe someone here can solve.
I will be frlying MTY (mexico) - DFW -EZE with AA
It's basically a Monterre to Buenos Aires flght bought as a connecting flight with an intentional huge hour 12 layover in DFW. Since i don't live in the US, i normally do this when I have to connect there, so I take some time to do some downtown shoping, visit friends, go to the bank, and other stuff.
My question is. I will be checking my luggage in MTY, in DFW I will not need to take it as it's the previous times it's automatically transferred to the next flight.
I need to buy some stuff in Dallas, do you think i could check another piece of luggage with origin at DFW? will AA accept that?
I contacted them and talked with 3 different representatives and all 3 said diffeent things, one said yes, another said a big NO, and the third one, very doubting said that th's a call from the ground staff at check in.
Any ideas?
Thanks
McAlba
