The Truth About Flying While Fat

Hi, everyone

My name is Claire and I'm a writer with Bloomberg Businessweek magazine.
I talked to the moderators on this board and they said it was okay for me to post here.

I'm looking for people to talk to for an article I'm writing about what it's like to fly on an airplane when you're overweight, obese or otherwise too large for your seat. We've all read news stories about overweight passengers kicked off of flights, forced to buy two seats, or otherwise humiliatedbut most of the tales are told from the other passengers' point of view. What I'd like to know is, what's missing from these accounts? Are there certain airlines that are better than others? Do feel properly provided for when you buy their services (a plane ticket) or do you think that something in the system has to change? I'd like to hear from you.

My work email is provided below. Please feel free to contact me with any ideas, personal stories, or suggestions of people to talk to. If you'd like more information on what exactly I'm writing, I'd be happy to talk about it with you.

email: [email protected]

Thanks so much.

Claire
