I've stayed in far too many hotels and never figured out, nor ever asked, if one is supposed to eat the chocolate left on pillow before retiring to bed or when waking up.
Sometimes I eat them at night, sometimes I toss them into my laptop bag to eat later (days later, weeks later or months later). |

I think you are supposed to eat them whenever you feel like eating them.

As long as the chocolate is free, I can't see what difference it makes when you eat it--except, if you leave it on the night table, and haven't consumed it by the time they do the regular cleaning of the room (the next morning), it might not be there when you get back (hungry mice love chocolate:D:D:D.) |

Well chocolate goes with port, and would you really drink port first thing in the morning?
I normally save the chocolates and stick them in the fridge at home. That way when I just need a little sweet/chocolate fix, I have a small piece available to satisfy my craving. |
