probably not, sounds like they shelled out an engine, hence the metal debris. probably picked up a hunk of crap off the taxiway and fodded it, then the hot metal and sparks blew out onto the ground and lit the grass. but thats just a guess, from an aircraft mechanic.

Folks around the area are calling it an "uncontained failure" of the engine, not a FOD incident.
An unconatined failure could/would have a very profound impact on production....at least for the GE-powered 787s.
