Airport tax recalculation for 'end-on-end' itinerary
Hi all,
I have an award AC LIM-YYZ and paid AC YYZ-BOS (with <24h layover). I found AC charged hefty 'taxes' for my YYZ-BOS segment(~$60!), many of which are exempt or much less when you simply transfer. Can I ask AC to recalculate tax, based on my real itinerary (LIM-YYZ-BOS)?
Thanks

You can certainly ask, but a lot may depend on how the Canadian law is written. You might ask AC if they can mark the two tickets as "conjunction tickets," and whether doing so would reduce the taxes. (Such a strategy, if doable, would eliminate the UK APD on transits via the UK, for example.)
