Hi, new to usng expert flyer. It seems like you can only create an alert for fully booked flight? Can i crete an alert for when a redemption seat say for cathay pacific opens up?

I cant set any alert now since it shows seats available for purchase a d i want redeem.

Welcome to ExpertFlyer hqly2001. No that is not true, if you are referring to Seat Alerts, you can seat an alert for any Occupied or Blocked seat. If a flight has any available aisle, window, or exit row seats, then the Any Aisle, Any Window, Any Exit Row options won't be available for selection as a type of that seat is already available. The purpose of Seat Alerts is to let you know when a physical seat or type of seat that is occupied becomes available.

Physical seats have nothing to do with Award or Upgrade inventory. That is searched thru our Award & Upgrade inventory search which is part of our Basic and Premium subscriptions. Since it sounds like you have a Free subscription, just click the Upgrade button after logging in to get a 5-day free trial of our Premium subscription so you can search Award inventory on our supported airlines (list here). As you can see CX is not on that list, so we can't alert you to when CX award availability opens.
