Solar Eclipse on 5/20 - SFO-NRT
I am flying to NRT from SFO on 5/20 on United.
Anyone can predict which flight is better to be on leaving SFO to see the solar eclipse?
UA853 departs ~1PM
UA837 departs ~11AM
The Solar Eclipse is set to hit SF at 5:23PM - PST.
The Solar Eclipse is set to hit Tokyo at 2:32PM - PST.

Seems like the later flight would be better for the eclipse, but the earlier flight is upgraded cabin which I would opt for if the eclipse is the same for both...
Also, which side of the plane is best to sit to see the sun?
I believe it is the left side for west bound flights.
I plan to view from my iPhone viewfinder so as NOT to damage my eyes.
