Where to put "Where Should I Go?" Posts
Sorry for the thread on this topic, but I've looked around and can't figure out the best spot for "Where Should I Go Next?" posts. I'm thinking of my 2013 vacation schedule and looking for some input.
Thanks,
David

i think here, but perhaps post where you've been & some info to get it jump started....
lower in the forums list is destinations, which you could browse & see if any place looks good....

Places I've been--limited to non-US destinations, since I've been LOTS of places in the US (granted it's not a huge list):
Prague - twice
Vienna
Innsbruck (snowboarding)
Heidelberg
Paris
Things I like to do:
Hiking (long-distance and day hikes)
Sight-seeing (museums, scenery, oddities, etc.)
Adventure trips (climbing, rafting, etc.)
I'm interested in ancient civilizations and in ecotourism as well
Things I don't like to do:
Sit and do nothing for more than a day or two
Shop (other than food markets)
Party like a rockstar
Time frame is likely this 6-12 months from now (to cover seasonal trips). We just got back from Paris about 10 days ago.
Budget is pretty open for things like flights and hotels. I have enough points to cover most, if not all of those types of expenses.

Notice that you haven't covered Asia, maybe Japan, China, and/or some S.E. Asia countries, if you are into ancient civilization?

Greece and Italy are certainly contenders, though I'm sort of saving Italy for 2015 to hit the World's Fair in Milan. The last (and only) World's Fair I've been to was in Knoxville, TN in 1982.
Greece is certainly appealing (probably pretty cheap right now, too). BUT, Japan and China absolutely have appeal. I have a friend that just got back from China on a vacation (and another that just returned from Singapore/Bali/Bangkok). It sounds like a chat with them is in order.
Is there a particular time of year that is good/bad for Japan or China? I guess I should ask that same question about Greece, too.
Thanks!
