I crossed DAL Dallas Love Field off the list in January. At present I'm at 95 out of 100, still trying to figure out how best to do GUM and Branson, MO.

I just flew in last night to RIC - so down to 13 airports now in the US out of top 100.
Not made as much progress this year as I had hoped. I really wanted to be <10 by the end of the year. |
Not a top 100 airport but just flew into ILG on the new F9 service. It means I have flown into an airport in all 50 states. Delaware was my last state to fly into.

I'm at 7! lol Gotta get to the US more it seems!

Our travel goal: the kids and I are trying to visit all. 50 States in two years. starte June 2012 and have done 26. We will knock out two by the end of the month with SEA and ANC

Wow, I am surprised that I have been to 72/100, with only one out of the top 25 missed (HND). In fact, several of the ones I haven't visited are the secondary/teritary airports in major cities -- HND*, GMP, SHA, LGW, STN, DME*, CGH. (*These are actually the primary airports in their metro areas according to this list, though probably not for long-haul traffic.)
Amazing that HND is so high; also surprised to see AYT and PMI so high; high-volume leisure traffic I guess. Have two more of the 28 missing ones booked so far. I was also surprised to find AYT on the list. Not that I've been, but it's not exactly a hotbed for North American travelers either. |

Well done! That's a great fact. Are you going to try and get TTN on them too? I flew RDU-TTN on them a few months ago for $29

of your Top 100, I have yet to hit 17:
MKE I have originated/terminated actual travel at all but five of the others: FLL, RIC, HOU, and DAL were connection points to accumulate miles/segments; OGG was a thru stop where I didn't get off the plane (KOA-OGG-HNL on an Island Air DH8)AUS RSW ANC TUL GUM LIH LIT ISP XNA GRR SAV SFB SGF TYS MSN JAN I distinctly remember overnights in the terminals at DFW, BOS, and LAX ... there are probably a few more from my college days; not sure that getting to MIA on the last bus at 7pm for a 230am flight (DL Convair 880 to ATL) would actually qualify as "overnight"; arriving SJU at 115am (EA 72S from ATL) for an 845am departure (Aero Virgin Islands DC-3 to STT) probably would though |
Missing only 19:
5 HND 36 LGW 39 SHA 49 SZX 50 MEL 53 MEX 54 DME 56 TPE 59 FLL 61 PMI 65 KMG 72 BOG 76 MAN 83 STN 85 CJU 90 CGH 91 BSB 92 CTS 97 HEL I have O&D at all 81 of them too. Most of the remainder are on my wish list. With this group, we should be looking at the top 200 for more of a challenge. . . |
