Is this a fair price?
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. I'm going to Bali next year September for my honeymoon and I wanted to know if the price I am being quoted is fair. I really never traveled out to that part of the world,so I am clueless. Thank you in advance.

Flew IAH-xDME-xSIN-DPS(dest)-SIN(stopover)-FRA(stopover)-JFK on SQ in May 2011 for about 1518 ai (including an extra $25 to earn miles). Looking at a similar itineary for next Septmber on SQ it appears the price is about the same.

I tried using Expedia,Orbitz and Travelocity but the date of availability doesn't go out as far as I would like. I am flying out 9-10 and checking out 9-23.
I checked a few of the major carrier websites and determined the following:
Air Korea flight times are off the wall. Arrival time into DPS is at 0050 and departure is 0100. Approx $1560
Singapore Airlines has one too many connections. Aprox $1560
The only plus with both these carriers is the opportunity to fly on the A380.
Am I missing any other carriers that head out that way?

Dear OP,
You should spend some more time looking at FT. Whole idea here is to NOT pay for tickets, but, to get credit card bonus miles and fly up front in F or biz class.
Apply for a couple of AA cards and have your wife to be do the same and you will have 200K miles and not be buying the ticket.
